Receiving a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from the University of New Hampshire, Andrew was hired right out college by Fay, Spofford and Thorndike Engineers out of Boston, Massachusetts. For three years he worked as a treatment plant, pump station and sewer line inspector in South Portland, Maine. Having a desire to return to New Hampshire, Andrew moved to New Hampshire Public Service out of Manchester, NH, where he worked on the Seabrook transmission line designs and field inspections. A few years passed and Andrew found himself back home in Laconia, NH, where he began work as a company engineer, general super, and concrete and masonry estimator for his brother-in-law’s company, D.J. Beane Corporation. His time with D.J. Beane was short, but he had found his passion for masonry and concrete work while there.
With the help from his brother Stephen and two friends, Andrew started Mas-Con Corporation in 1983. His childhood dream of owning his own business was coming true. For over 40 years now, Andrew has been President of the company where he takes great pride in his attention to detail. He has successfully managed countless projects including various large projects with masonry contracts well over $1 million. Recently stepping down as President, Andrew has begun to slowly spend some time away from Mas-Con. In his downtime, Andrew enjoys tending to his farm in Gilmanton, or sailing his catamaran on Newfound Lake with his wife, children and grandchildren.
